Are you interested in starting your own chapter? That’s great! Although it might look daunting, it is easier than you think and the Global PingPongParkinson organization is here to help you! Here are the steps of what you have to do. Contact us if you are ready to start or if you have questions!

• Check out our About page and understand our main mission. PPP builds a local community for people with Parkinson (PwP) and improves their lives. Through our experience, we have developed an effective therapy for success and you can do this in your area!

Set It Up

• Build a team of coordinators - We recommend starting with a team of 2 or 3 coordinators. You'll all be responsible for setting up the facility, acting as session leaders, and managing volunteers and coaches.
• Coordinate communications - You'll set up and manage email and social media for your chapter to find members and volunteers. Even if you aren’t familiar with Facebook, we can help you to do this!
• Location, Location, Location - You’ll need a place to play. Some chapters start with one table in your kitchen and go from there. Look for table tennis facilities, community recreation facilities, local churches or schools. Most places are happy to help! They don’t even have to have a ping pong table at first!
• Get some equipment - PingPongParkinson Global will guide you on what you’ll need and has connections to lower the cost of equipment (rackets, balls or a table if needed). Don’t worry too much about this. You may be able to get assistance with this.

Publicize It

• Once you’ve put this all together you are ready to tell people! You will want to reach out to find people with Parkinson, volunteers and media to assist you. PingPongParkinson Global will be able to help you on how to find everyone!
